Bourse indexes down at close of week transactions

Egyptian Exchange (EGX) indexes declined at the close of the Sunday trading session, the first session of the week, prompted by sales by institutions and foreign, local, and Arab investment funds against purchases by foreign, Arab, and Egyptian investors.

The market capital lost EGP 42 trillion after total transactions of EGP 8 billion.

The EGX 30 benchmark index declined by 2.63 percent, ending at 29,954.12 points.

The broader EGX 70 EWI index of the leading small and mid-cap enterprises (SMEs) dipped by 1.87 percent, closing at 7,329.36 points.
