This decision followed NTRA's agreement to settle with the company, which has since rectified its practices concerning telemarketing calls and confirmed taking all necessary measures to prevent any inconvenience to citizens.
The NTRA will use the collected fines from violating companies to enhance the quality of services offered in the Egyptian telecommunications market through its universal service fund, which ensures the quality of telecom services nationwide.
Earlier on Wednesday, NTRA announced that it would start taking all necessary legal measures against Mountain View and refer it to Prosecution after getting many complaints from citizens about receiving telemarketing calls increasingly from this company recently and double-checking the validity of these complaints.
The NTRA encouraged citizens to use its WhatsApp numbers to report any issues related to nuisance telemarketing calls.
