An agreement worth billions of dollars between Iraq and Shell to extract gas as a byproduct of the southern oil fields will be completed within ten days, Deputy Oil Minister Ahmad al- Shammaa said on Friday.

At a conference in the city of Basra, the oil centre in the south of the country, the Minister said that he is confident the final draft will be completed within a week or ten days.
