The new plant will span 25,000 square metres and will be strategically located in the Greater Cairo area to ensure efficient distribution throughout Egypt and neighbouring countries.

It will manufacture HDPE and MDPE pipes and piping solutions tailored to the specific needs of the regional infrastructure market.

The new plant is set to support local projects aligned with Egypt’s national development goals and position itself as a gateway to Africa.

It will significantly impact the regional market by enhancing supply chain reliability, reducing lead times, and offering high-quality, durable flow solutions.

Mohammed Abdulghaffar Hussain, executive director of Green Coast Enterprises, highlighted the facility's role in long-term collaboration for sustainable development.

“This new plant reflects our commitment to creating infrastructure that is not only functional but also sustainable, aligning with Egypt’s goals for the future,” he said.

He further noted that the partnership with GF Piping Systems and Egypt Gas would contribute to building sustainable infrastructure that supports Egypt’s vision for the future.

By producing locally, GF Piping Systems aims to minimize the carbon footprint associated with international transportation, reinforcing its dedication to sustainability.

Wael Gowayed, chairman of Egypt Gas, highlighted the plant’s expected economic and operational benefits, including job creation and strengthening supply chain resilience.

GF Piping Systems, a division of Georg Fischer AG, is a global provider of piping solutions, while Egypt Gas is the largest gas distributor in Egypt.

Based in the UAE, Green Coast Enterprises is a leader in sustainable infrastructure development in the private sector.
