طلع م المولد بلا حمص.

Tele' mel moulid bela hommos.

Translation: He went to the moulid and received no chickpeas.

In the moulid, or saint's day, large numbers of people congregate and many offer food to visitors in honour of the saint. Much of the charity is related to nadr, or an oath of sacrifice of money or property if a certain wish is granted by the saint in question. So visitors are treated to rice and meat, or at least a bowl of boiled chickpeas, or hommos. It is unusual for anyone not to receive such a gift upon visiting the mouled. So the saying denotes exceptional bad luck.
