ان كُنتُوا اخوات اتحاسبوا
En kontu ekhwat ethasbu
Translation: Settle your financial accounts, even with your brothers.
Meaning: Keep your financial dealings clear even with your closest friends and family or you will risk losing them – and losing your money as well. This proverb, now rarely used, deserves to be revisited. It is equivalent to the French saying “good accounts make good friends.”
