Lawla ekhtelaf al-nazar la barat al sela’

Translation: If it weren’t for the variety in people’s taste, goods will not get sold.

Meaning: This proverb, not in common use, is about diversity. It is close to “it takes all types to make the world go 'round” If everyone wanted one type of merchandise, the market would be a boring place. The proverb is in very formal language, almost oratory, which may explain why it went out of circulation.
