On Wednesday El-Warsha, a theatre troupe that perform folk arts, will give one of its enchanting performances at El-Sawy Culturewheel, titled "Lucky Hour."
El-Warsha was created by director Hassan El-Geretly in 1987, the first independent troupe to participate in the free theatre movement in Egypt. Delving into the heart of authentic folk heritage, El-Warsha managed to reintroduce old styles as well as opening new doors to interpretation of folk arts. Stitching the old with the new without taking sides has always been El-Warsha’s specialty.
