Palestinian embroidery on UNESCO’s List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity

The art of Palestinian embroidery has been added by UNESCO to the List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

The listing took place on 15 December during UNESCO’s online 16th session of the intergovernmental committee for the safeguarding of intangible cultural heritage.

Palestinian embroidery is a rich realm that involves an average of 15 different traditional costume types, each reflecting a specific district of Palestine.
