Nuria Sanz, Officer in Charge of the UNESCO Office in Cairo, and Moamen Othman, Head of the Museums Sector at the Supreme Council of Antiquities, announced the launching of the guidelines, which represent "a significant milestone in preserving and promoting Egypt's cultural legacy and an exemplary model of international cooperation within the framework of improving accessibility and presentation of cultural heritage sites and museums in Egypt."

“These guidelines provide a comprehensive framework for enhancing visitor experience and knowledge while preserving the authenticity and integrity of Egypt's cultural treasures,” said Mostafa Waziri, Secretary General of the Supreme Council of Antiquities.

Bassem Ibrahim, Director of the Facilities Management Department in Archaeological Sites and Museums, said the guidelines include site interpretation, visitor engagement, storytelling techniques, accessibility, sustainability, and the integration of cutting-edge technologies. 

Ibrahim added that these guidelines will enable Egypt to create an immersive and educational experience that allows visitors to appreciate the nation's rich cultural heritage more deeply.

The launch event was held at the Museum of Islamic Art. It featured innovative technologies, interactive exhibits, and live demonstrations of how the guidelines can be effectively implemented to create an engaging and immersive experience for visitors.
