Muslim Brotherhood's FJP and Salafist Nour Party dominate election in Mediterranean port of Damietta, just one independent to fight runoff

Election results from Damietta have been announced.

Damietta has 12 seats divided between two constituencies. 

First constituency:

Party list results -

Muslim Brotherhood’s Freedom and Justice Party (FJP) list - 86,268
Salafist Nour Party list - 80,936
Moderate Islamist Wasat Party list - 60,814

There will be a runoff for the professionals’ seat between the FJP’s Ali Al-Daami (124,819) and the Nour Party’s Nagy Sheta (50,691). 

There will be a runoff for the farmers/workers’ seat between the FJP’s Mohamed Abu Moussa (83,412) and the Nour Party’s Mohamed Al-Taweel (49,781). 

Second constituency:

There will be a runoff for the professionals’ seat between the Nour Party’s Walid Samha (21,290) and the FJP’s Mohamed El-Falahgy (16,344).

There will be a runoff for the farmers/workers’ seat between the Nour Party’s Wael Nabahan (27,647) and the independent Omran Meghad (16,154).
