Ivory Coast boss Francois Zahoui has heaped praise on duo Didier Drogba and Yaya Toure, who played a key role in lifting the Elephants to the African Cup of Nations semis at the expense of co-hosts Equatorial Guinea on Saturday.

‘’We are lucky to have talented players like Didier Drogba and Yaya Toure. They made the difference against Equatorial Guniea. Our maturity was decisive in Saturday’s victory,’’ Zahoui was quoted as saying on footafrica365.fr.

Chelsea striker Drogba scored twice and African Player of the Year Yaya Toure wrapped up the win with a delightful free-kick as the one-time African champions eased to a 3-0 win over Equatorial Guinea.

“Before the game, I had the impression that a tough game awaited us but it was more difficult than expected.  Equatorial Guinea should be proud of their national team,’’ The Ivorian tactician added.
