Tunisia's key playmaker

Darragi

Esperance playmaker Oussama Darragi rose to prominence in 2011 after guiding his club to the treble (Tunisian League, Cup and CAF Champions League triumphs).

He scored four goals as Esperance won the Champions League for the first time since 1994 after beating Moroccan outfit Wydad Casablanca in the final.

The 24-old-year also helped Tunisia win the African Nations Championship in early 2011. His form prompted the Confederation of African Football (CAF) to name him as the best African-based player of the year.

“I’m elated to be considered [Africa-based] Player of the Year. It was a hectic season and I gave my best in every competition," Darragi said.

He will be shouldering Tunisian hopes to cut open opposing defences with his trademark neat passes.

The versatile Darragi can play as a playmaker or winger.
