Qualifying campaign: Ivory Coast demonstrated they are the team to beat in Africa after collecting a maximum of 18 points in the qualifiers, winning all six games over Rwanda, Burundi and Benin.

History: Ivory Coast made 12 CAN appearances. Their greatest achievement was winning the 1992 edition beating Ghana on penalties.

Expectations:  Like the past three editions, the Elephants are on top of the favourites to lift the trophy, given their pedigree and superb results of late. They are highly expected to finish on top of the group that includes Sudan, Angola and Burkina Faso.
