AUC's distinguished visiting professor Suraiya Faroqhi will deliver a lecture under the title Tasty Things and How to Obtain Them: Special - but non-royal - Foods and Beverages in the Ottoman World.

She is a professor of history of Bilgi University in Istanbul, Turkey, she is a professor emerita at Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich, Germany and an author of numerous books and publications.
