Weightlifting: Egypt’s Ramadan, Ahmed finished respectfully at Olympics

Egyptian Weightlifters Ramadan Ibrahim and Esmat Ahmed ended fifth and ninth respectively in their categories on Wednesday

Although they failed to win any medals, Ramadan Ibrahim and Esmat Ahmed produced a convincing performance during Wednesday’s competitions in Weightlifting.

Ibrahim ended fifth in the Men's Weightlifting 77 kg with a total of 347kg (155kg snatch, 171kg C&J) coming very close to clinching a bronze medal, which, at the end, went to Cambar Rodriguez Ivan who lifted a total of 349 kg.

Meanwhile Esmat Ahmed ended ninth in the Women's 69kg competition with a total of 235 (105 Snatch, 130 C&J).
