Egyptian archers Ahmed El-Nemr and Reem Mansour finished below 50 in the ranking round at the Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games on Friday.
El-Nemr finished 51st after totaling 644 points in the archery preliminaries ahead of the round of 64, where he will face Australia's Taylor Worth on Monday.
South Korea's Kim Woo-jin set a 72-arrow world record to top the ranking table.
The world champion's total of 700 points during the ranking round at the Sambodromo venue eclipsed the previous record of 699 set by compatriot Im Dong-hyun at the London Olympics four years ago.
In the women's contest, Egypt's Reem Mansour finished 56th with 596 points.
