01:00 Omar Assar rallied back from 2-0 down to beat Puerto Rico's Brian Afanador 4-2 and qualify for the second round of the men's table tennis singles. 

21:00 Dina Meshref lost 4-1 to Nanthana Komwong from Thailand in the qualifying rounf.

20:00 Nadine El-Doletli lost 4-0 to Petra Lovas from Hungary in the table tennis qualifying round.

19:25 Sami Abdel-Razeq and Ahmed Mohamed finished 30th and 45th respectively in the shooting 10m air pistol contest.

19:12 Swimmer Marwan El-Kamash finished 1st of the 400m freestyle heat 4, Ahmad Akram came fourth. Both failed to reach the final as they finished 16th and 27th in the overall ranking.
