Egyptian Beach Volleyball players Doaa El-Ghobashi and Nada Moawad lost their second pool D game at the Rio 2016 Olympics against Italy's Marta Menegatti and Laura Giombini 2-0 (21-10, 21-13) on Tuesday.
They lost their opening game Sunday to Germany's Ludwig and Walkenhorst, and will end the group stage on 11 August against Canada's Broder and Valjas.
Regulations say the top two teams from each of the six groups will advance directly to knock-out matches along with the top two third-placed teams. The final four third-placed teams will play off for the last two berths.
The African champions gained attention with their unorthodox outfits – one veiled and the other wearing leggings and long sleeves.
