Egypt’s Argentinean manager Hector Cuper has decided to rest the team on Thursday from training, ahead of the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations final on Sunday.
The Pharaohs are suffering from fatigue due to a tight schedule as they have played a game almost every three days.
The record holders of seven trophies have made it to the final after eliminating the tough Burkina Faso on Wednesday in penalty shootouts, thanks to veteran keeper Essam El-Hadary.
The team will only perform rehabilitation trainings at the pool on Thursday before they totally rest ahead of the anticipated game.
Egypt will play either Ghana or Cameroon who showdown on Thursday evening with Cuper to watch the game in the stands.
Egypt have made it to the quarterfinals after leading group D with a goalless draw against Mali and two 1-0 wins over Uganda and Ghana. They eliminated Morocco 1-0 in the quarterfinals.
