Coach Javier Aguirre said Egypt need to maintain their high tempo in second halves after their form once again dropped after the break in Wednesday's 2-0 win over DR Congo, which took them to the last 16 of the African Cup of Nations.
Egypt went through courtesy of two first-half goals from skipper Ahmed Elmohamady and dazzling winger Mohamed Salah.
However, for the second consecutive game, the Pharaohs looked below-par after the interval, leaving their opponents to largely control possession and pour forward.
"I'm trying to find the reason of this drop in the second half. We have to play the full 90 minutes with the same performance," Aguirre told the post-match news conference.
However, the Mexican boss was still satisfied that Egypt managed to get the job done to continue their bid towards a record-extending eighth Nations Cup title.
"We were fully concentrated and we had the chance to score more goals despite the team's drop in the second half."
Aguirre also said he is likely to make changes to his starting line-up in the last group-stage game against Uganda on Sunday.
"I am considering introducing new faces against Uganda," he added.
"Many players appeared exhausted against DR Congo and they need to rest, but I will not reveal their names now."
Egypt, who top Group A with a maximum six points from two matches, need just a draw against Uganda (second with four points) to ensure their progress as the group leaders.
