Morocco manager Herve Renard said on Thursday there is no contact concerning a possible job with the Pharaohs, stressing that he is now with Morocco and is focusing with the Atlas Lions.

Reports suggested that the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) started talks with the French coach in order to take charge of the Pharaohs, but Renard came to deny all these reports.

"The Egyptians have been talking about me since 2009, when they were African champions with coach Hassan Shehata," Renard said at a news conference on Thursday.

"I am now with Morocco and I am focused on the team, especially since we have many objectives to realize"

"Egypt has a good coach and a wonderful team  and they don’t need me."

Renard won the African Cup twice in 2012 and 2015 with Zambia and Ivory Coast respectively.

On the other hand, the French coach has admitted that Morocco's upcoming clash against Ivory Coast on Friday will be very tough as both sides will be looking to top the Group with a win.

"The game will be very tough." he added.

"Ivory Coast are an organized team that have many good players. Sure the game will be difficult"

Morocco are leading Group D with three points, on par with Ivory Coast as both sides won their opening game in the Group against Namibia and South Africa respectively.
