The match is underway

20:00 Uganda's starting lineup:
Denis Onyango, Wakiro Wadada, Godfrey Walusimbi, Mawanda Wasswa, Timothy Awany, Khalid Aucho, Farouk Miya, Micheal Azira, Allan Kyambadde, Lumala Abdu, Emmanuel Okwi

19:50 Egypt coach Aguirre rests defensive midfielder Tarek Hamed and central defender Mahmoud Alaa, introducing Baher El-Mohammadi and Nabil Emad instead of them respectively. Ahmed Kouka also replaces Marwan Mohsen upfront.

19:30 Egypt announce lineup:
Mohamed El-Shennawi - Ahmed Elmohamady, Baher El-Mohammadi, Ahmed Hegazi, Ayman Ashraf - Emad "Dunga" Nabil, Mohamed Elneny, Abdallah El-Said - Mohamed Salah, Ahmed "Kouka" Hassan, Mahmoud "Trezeguet" Hassan.

18:30 Egypt will be looking to up their game after two unconvincing displays against Zimbabwe and DR Congo.

17:30 A draw for Egypt will be enough to ensure they finish on top of Group A.

16:30 Egypt will play their remaining games at the Nations Cup with only two goalkeepers after third-choice goalie Mahmoud Gennesh ruptured an Achilles tendon during a training session on Friday.

15:30 Egypt’s national team is in high spirits ahead of the “difficult” test against Uganda in the African Cup of Nations, but winning the match is a must to continue the title's campaign successfully, according to team skipper Ahmed Elmohamady.

14:30 Egypt's probable starting line-up:

Goalkeeper:Mohamed El-Shennawi
Defenders: Ayman Ashraf, Baher El-Mohamadi, Ahmed Hegazi, Ahmed Elmohamady.
Midfielders: Tarek Hamed, Nabil 'Dunga' Emad.
Attacking midfielders: Mahmoud Trezeguet, Abdallah El-Said, Mohamed Salah.
Striker: Ahmed “Koka” Hassan.

13:30 Egypt found no difficulty brushing aside Zimbabwe and DR Congo but have hardly produced any attacking flair despite coach Javier Aguirre's vow to reverse their dependence on defence, which was a hallmark of Hector Cuper's era when they reached the Nations Cup final in 2017 and qualified for the World Cup last year.

12:00 Despite sealing smooth progress to the knockout stage with maximum six points from two games, Egypt will be under even more pressure to lift a record-extending eighth trophy, with any failure likely to be attributed to the off-field problems that have cast a cloud over the team's campaign.

Venue: Cairo Stadium
