Ahead of the game against Namibia, Ibrahim Kamara, the head coach of Cote d'Ivoire's national team, seeks to use a more offensive strategy to guarantee qualifying to the next round of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.
The Elephants have played two matches in the African tournament, winning the first against South Africa 1-0, but losing their second game in the tournament 1-0 against Morocco, and they are scheduled to face Namibia in the last round of the group stage on Monday.
"Facing Namibia will be tough, our goal is to win and qualify," Kamara told a press conference on Sunday.
"Our main target of course is not only qualifying to the next stage, but also we aspire to go for advanced stages in the tournament," he added.
Kamara also revealed his strategy for Monday's game against Brave Warriors, confirming the squad will see new faces.
"I will make some changes in the formation against Namibia, I will pump some fresh blood to give the chance for other players to show their special performance," the Cote d'Ivoire coach said.
The Ivorian coach said that Tottenham Hotspur's defender Serge Aurier will not participate in the game, but he will return to the starting squad after qualifying.
Cote d'Ivoire has three points out of two matches, and needs the victory against Namibia to secure its seat in the round of 16 stage without going through complicated calculations.
