Three new videos have been uploaded by the Ministry of Culture to its YouTube channel. Their release is scheduled for the first days of April
The uploads are part of the Culture Between Your Hands initiative which aims to bring theatre performances, concerts and other cultural events to audiences online amid the current shutdown of theatres, cinemas and concert halls over the coronavirus pandemic.
The first in the schedule of the newly lined-up videos is a concert conducted by Ahmed Atef, featuring Ines Abdel Dayem (flutist and currently minister of culture). The concert includes also singers Wael Al-Fashni and Nihal Nabil.
The concert includes a selection of well-known compositions from Egyptian films, compiled and arranged by Atef.
Second comes the theatre play Alice in Wonderland, scheduled for release 4 April.
Recorded at the Cairo Opera House, the musical performance was staged in September 2019.
Finally, a concert by Angham is to be released 14 April.
One of the most popular and best Egyptian female voices, Angham is an audience magnet. Her frequent performances at the Opera House and other locations draw interest from many fans.
