Egyptian filmmakers and their counterparts across the world are invited to apply for the latest batch of production grants from the Global Film Initiative (GFI).
The group will provide $10,000 apiece for narrative film projects whose length is over 65 minutes. Grants can be obtained at any stage of production.
Applications must be submitted between 15 November 2012 and 15 January 2013, and are open to filmmakers from Africa, Asia, Europe, North and South America and Oceania.
Each year GFI distributes 15 to 20 grants of up to $10,000 each, directing them to filmmakers whose previous work shows artistic excellence, authenticity and accomplished storytelling.
Applications for the next swathe of grants will begin in May 2013.
