Cairo's Cervantes Institute honours prominent Spanish-language academic Nagwa Mehrez

In the presence of the Ambassador of Spain in Egypt, the Cervantes Institute in Cairo honoured Nagwa Mehrez, founder of the Association of Professionals in Spanish Studies

At the Cervantes Institute’s headquarters in Dokki, Spanish Ambassador to Egypt Ramón Gil-Casares and Director of the Cervantes Institutes in Cairo and Alexandria Javier Ruiz Sierra honoured on Wednesday prominent Egyptian Spanish language academic Nagwa Mehrez. 

Mehrez is the founder of the Association of Professionals in Spanish Studies and former head of the Spanish Language Department at the Faculty of Al-Alsun at Ain Shams University.


Mehrez expressed her great happiness for being honoured at this special event, which was attended by a number of the most prominent people in the field of Spanish studies.

These included some of Mehrez's own students, who are now working in different universities, including Spanish professors Rasha Aboudi and Basem Saleh.
