Panorama of the European Film: Oscar foreign film submissions

The Panorama of the European Film will feature six official foreign film submissions for the 2015 Oscars. Country nominations are from Poland, Lithuania, Italy, Spain, Turkey and Estonia



Six films nominated by their respective countries for the 2015 Best Foreign Language Film race will screen as part of the seventh Panorama of the European Film. 


Anna, a young novitiate nun in 1960s Poland who, on the verge of taking her vows, discovers a dark family secret dating back to the years of the Nazi occupation.

Tangerines (Mandariinid)

In the 1990s, an Estonian village Abkhazia. As the war approaches, two villagers – Ivo and Markus – are the only ones who haven’t left. Markus wants to harvest his tangerine plantation, although Ivo is against cropping during wartime. After rescuing survivors, they must resolve their own war, happening under their roof with enemies from both sides.
