Released by NileFM, a cover of Mariah Carey's All I Want For Christmas brought a large wave of comments from the popular Egyptian radio station's fans.

"I'm in love with the cover of All I Want For Christmas, Good job everybody!" came from @ReeHElSabaa on Twitter

In a video released on YouTube on 8 December, the NileFM team is in the studio wearing Santa hats and singing the cover.

The song features the team members, such as Mark Somers, Sally Sampson, Mickey, Tom Green, Simon Ramsden, Yara El-Gendy, Zeinab Hegarty, Deeb, Hassan Rassmy, Vega, Noura Mashburn and Khaled El-Habashy.

It is apparent that the whole team is having great fun while trying to project positive festive spirit, disregarding that most of the time, the singers are completely out of tune.

"Loving the Xmas song! It looks like u had a lot of fun!" written by @radwaelgoharyy on Twitter seems to be the essence of this experiment.

Some listeners are less enthusiastic. "#NileFM just ruined All I Want For Christmas is you. Good job though," wrote Twitter user @mosdgabr

The song continues to be aired on NileFM and is accessible on YouTube.

Established in 2003, NileFM 104.2 is an Egyptian English language radio station, operating under the Nile Radio Productions (NRP), focusing on international music charts' toppers.
