Egyptian megastar Adel Emam has resumed filming the comedy drama series Valentino, directed by his son Ramy Emam, written by Ayman Bahgat Qamar, and featuring Dalal Abdel-Aziz.

Adel Emam, 79, is one of Egypt’s biggest ever film, TV and theatre stars. He has over four decades of box office hits and plays under his belt, but has recently been focusing on television drama, with most of his series directed by his son.

Valentino was originally set to air last Ramadan season, before it was suddenly postponed due to production issues.

Ramy Emam posted a video on the superstar's social media pages to confirm the resumption of filming and to dismiss local and international news reports that the beloved actor was suffering health issues.
