Ahmad Abdalla’s Exterior/Night comes fourth on Netflix daily rankings in Egypt

Abdalla's film is the only Egyptian film to make it to the top viewing list on Netflix


Directed by Ahmad Abdalla, drama Exterior/Night is listed fourth in 'Egypt Today’ on Netlix's top watched films and series on Sunday.

The film had its international premiere at the Toronto Film festival (2018), and was then screened at several local and international festivals.

Exterior/Night won Best Actor (Sherif El Desouky) award and was nominated to Golden Pyramid at Cairo International Film Festival (2018); Jury Prize at the Long Narrative Competition held at Luxor African Film Festival (2019) and Jury Award for Best Feature Film at Malmö Arab Film Festival (2018).

The film is written by Sherif El-Alfy, produced by Hala Lotfy, and stars Karim Kassem, Mona Hala, Sherif Dessouky, Basma, and Ahmed Malek.

The film follows three individuals who break social norms and test boundaries on an extraordinary night.

Each character is fighting their own battle, leading to an unexpected journey in the streets of Cairo.
