Egyptian pop singer Hamada Helal will perform at the closing ceremony of Pendoline’s children’s beauty pageant on Friday at Zamalek Theatre.
"I was really thrilled when Pendoline contacted me to be the star performer of the closing ceremony as I always loved working with and for kids and consider them to be quite a portion of my audience," Helal said.
Instead of two, eight children will be crowned winners "to boost self-confidence and learning about team working and competitiveness" at this year's event, which was postponed for a month due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Backed by the Ministry of Culture, the ceremony will also host a group of specialists in the medical field for children, social media celebrities, artists and community stars, and includes an opening speech by festival president Ezzat Sami and executive director of the festival Sharif Malik.
Helal is one of the biggest selling pop singers and TV and film star actors in the last two decades, with much of his work targeted at children.
Friday 2 October at 5pm
