Disney+ to launch in Egypt this summer

Disney+, the streaming service from The Walt Disney Company, has confirmed that it will launch its services in 42 countries this summer, including Egypt.

Disney+’ services will be available “in 11 new territories, including 16 markets across the Middle East and North Africa. The new countries include Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, United Arab Emirates, and Yemen,” as stated by the company on Wednesday.

The streaming platform, which is already available in 18 countries, offers exclusive original content and thousands of episodes and movies from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and National Geographic. Disney+ is the streaming home for some of the world’s most beloved stories.

With its English and Arabic-dubbed and subtitled content, Disney+ will be competing with several streaming platforms that are already active in Egypt like Netflix, OSN, Shahid, Watchit and others.
