Dutch-Palestinian model Bella Hadid joins cast of Egyptian-American comedy Ramy

USA-based Dutch-Palestinian model Bella Hadid will appear in a recurring role on season three of the popular comedy show Ramy, starring Egyptian-American comedian Ramy Youssef, streaming on Hulu.

Hadid, who is a daughter of real estate developer Mohamed Hadid and Dutch model Yolanda Hadid, revealed the news on her Instagram page last week.

Hadid, the Versace, Fendi and Givenchy model, revealed that she used to take acting classes in the past.

Ramy's first season debuted on Hulu in 2019 and was followed by two consecutive seasons with the third one's launch announced in July 2020.

The semi-biographical series following an Egyptian Muslim family living in New Jersey was created by Ramy Youssef who plays a man who represents the first generation of immigrants to the USA.

Following the release of Ramy's first season, Youssef won the Golden Globe for best actor in a comedy or musical television.

The actor as well as the series scored a number of other awards over the span of two years, including the Peabody Award, the Audience Award at the SXSW Film Festival, and the Ruderman Family Foundation Seal of Authentic Representation.
