Art Alert: Fulbright seminar on art economy in Egypt

Egyptian artists will discuss, 10 January, the local art economy and its challenges at Gezira Art Centre

A seminar titled 'The Art Economy in Egypt: Challenges Needs and Opportunities' will take place at the Gezira Art Centre, organised in collaboration with the Binational Fulbright Commission in Egypt.

The seminar will feature four of Egypt’s well-established artists as speakers: artist Hamdy Reda, founder of Artellewa, artist Khaled Hafez, artist Moataz Nasreldin, founder of Darb 1718, and artist Mariam Aziza Stephen.

The discussion will be moderated by two other established artists: Bassem Youssri and Haytham Nawar.
