Cairo’s Adsum Art Consultancy and Arts Mart Gallery collaborated with Khayrazad NGO to organise the Khayrazad fundraiser, a charity art exhibition and silent auction giving its proceeds to Abou El-Rish Children’s Hospital.

A total of seven galleries and 55 artists have donated over 90 artworks for the exhibition, which will take place during Sohour at Andrea restaurant in Giza on 17 June.

According to the event announcement, all the proceeds from artwork sales will go directly to funding the purchase of needed equipment for the Abou El-Rish hospital, including a Central Sterilisation Unit machine, and updating the hospital’s Hemodialysis Unit.

The works in the exhibition will include drawings, paintings, sculptures and photography from pioneers like Inji Efflatoun, Mohamed Abla and Guirguis Lotfy, to young established artists like Marwa Adel, Riham Saadany and Aya El-Fallah, and even amateurs such as seven-year old Osama El-Baz.

In addition to the open exhibition, three artworks will be up for a silent auction, which ends on 17 June: The Family by Inji Efflatoun offered by Safar Khan, Motherhood II by Guirguis Lotfy offered by Art Talks, and The Traveller by Gamal Meleika offered by Arts Mart.

The other participating galleries are Mashrabiya Gallery, Soma Art School and Gallery, Part with your Art, and El-Kahila Gallery.

Safar Khan Gallery will offer a copy of the book ‘The Twentieth-century Egyptian Art – The Private Collection of Sherwet Shafei’ to those who purchase any of the artworks donated from the gallery.
