TokTok, the satirical Egyptian comic magazine, launches its fourth edition on 7 December at the Rawabet Theatre, located in the Townhouse Gallery. The launch will be followed by an interactive performance entitled “Ready, chef?”
The magazine, which is named after the small vehicles used in popular districts of Egyptian cities, has received international acclaim, winning second prize in the best independent comic magazine section at the International Festival of Comics in Algeria (FIBDA).
The magazine was established by a number of art school graduates and professional cartoonists at Egyptian newspapers, such as El-Shennawy, Hesham Rahma, Tawfik and Andil.
The event will begin at 7pm at the Townhouse Gallery of Contemporary Art, 10 Nabrawy Street, Downtown Cairo.
