This month, Safar Khan Gallery in Zamalek features one of Egypt’s renowned contemporary artists, Mamdouh Ammar. Titled “Paintings,” Ammar's exhibition combines natural elements with a musical context.

Mamdouh Ammar has been teaching at the Faculty of Fine Arts since his graduation from the institution in the 1950s. He was privileged to study painting and mural art in Paris and Rome. "Paintings," his fourth exhibition at Safar Khan Gallery, opened yesterday and will run until 30 January 2011.
