The Mahy Khalifa Art Fund decided to extend the deadline for submitting for its scholarship to 10 June, 11:59 pm, Cairo time.
The extension aims to give applicants an opportunity to collect and submit the required supporting documents.
Inaugurated in April 2020, the fund was created by Dina Shehata and Karim Abu Youssef in memory of Mahy Khalifa, an art lover and collector, who passed away in July 2019.
The first initiative of the Mahy Khalifa Art Fund is an art scholarship for graduate studies in Europe. The scholarship is an opportunity for Egyptian students seeking to pursue their studies in the field of the arts.
The Mahy Khalifa Art scholarship aims at providing the needed resources and exposure to ambitious young talents, and to help nurture a new generation of artists, art scholars, curators and more.
The fund is managed by Art d’Égypte, a platform that aims to promote Egyptian art on an international level.
