An visual art project aiming at creating self-awareness, entitled "What's Your Colour?" opens in Assiut

Some of Egypt's indpendent artists, including Emad Abu Green, are showing a visual art project entitled Aish Lonak? (What's Your Colour?) in Assiut, Upper Egypt for a week.

One of the organisers, Abu Green, reveals that What's Your Colour? includes various visual arts workshops and the use of many tools. The object is to raise questions about the artists' identities and their level of self-awareness through a set of concepts that affect the community and methods of artistic expression, namely colours; their mixtures and blends that present different shades, textures, warmth, and thereon represent the identity of its artist.

Eight days of daily work are programmed. Viewings of pieces and parts of short films selected to be the point of inspiration and internal dialogue to then develop a vision. Furthermore, What's Your Colour? offers the possibility of mixing different creative media.

Programme:
5 August to 12 August, daily from 9am - 12pm
El-Fardos Garden (Paradise Garden), Assiut
