Egyptian Minister of Culture Mohamed Saber Arab met this morning with his Yemeni counterpart, Abdulla Awbal. Awbal offered his sincere condolences to the Egyptian government for the recent death of the border patrol guards on the Israel-Egypt border.
They then discussed the prospects of cross-cultural cooperation and development between Egypt and Yemen.
The two ministers agreed to hold an Egyptian cultural week in Yemen in 2013 that will include music, poetry, art and calligraphy events.
Egyptian experts will also help Yemen professionals develop aspects of their heritage and arts. They will train Yemeni specialists in the fields of manuscripts and document restorations, publishing and information and the arts at the Institute of Jamil Ghanem Fine Arts Institute in theatre, music, visual arts, graphics and drawing.
