An exhibition of art made from recycled household waste will open at Darb 1718 on Friday.
A workshop in October called ‘Re-art Recycling Art’ encouraged people to turn household waste into works of art.
Participants used a wide array of materials including plastic bottles, newspapers, magazines, old tapes, CDs, and egg cartons to create art that was both creative and eco-friendly.
The paintings, sculptures, mixed media and other creations will be exhibited from 9 November.
In late August, Darb 1718 hosted a recycling festival dedicated to raising awareness of Cairo’s waste management crisis.
