Amsterdam-based Egyptian contemporary artist Dina Danish is presenting her most recent projects at an exhibition dubbed Double Bubble Gum, Bubbles Double, opening 28 August at the Barbara Seiler Gallery in Zurich.

After completing a BA in Art at the American University in Cairo, Danish moved to San Francisco, where she acquired a Master of Fine Arts in Painting and Drawing from the California College of the Arts. Her work has recently been exhibited in galleries and art fairs in various cities, including Cairo, Oslo, Rotterdam, Amesterdam, and San Francisco.

One of Danish's projects exhibited at the Barbara Seiler Gallery is a video she recently produced dubbed 'Live From The Aquarium'. In the video, a crowd walks through the aquarium at Dubai's largest shopping centre, Dubai Mall, as a sports commentator describes their every move as if he were covering on a tennis match.

Also showcased in Zurich is a series of constructed photographs that visually depict tongue twisters, and a number of works including metal sculptures that are based on the artist's ongoing research on chewing gum and its use in contemporary art and cinema.

Double Bubble Gum, Bubbles Double runs until 5 October at Barbara Seiler Gallery
Anwandstrasse 67, Zurich, Switzerland
