Al-Pheel Al-Azraq (The Blue Elephant), a film based on the best-selling novel by Ahmed Mourad, is set to premiere in Egypt and several Arab countries, including the United Arab Emirates, the upcoming Eid Al-Fitr holiday following the end of Ramadan.

Karim Abdel-Aziz, who returns to the big screen to star in the film, expressed in a press release how satisfied he was with this production and said he was not surprised the public has shown such anticipation and excitement about the film.

The film's trailer on YouTube has garnered over a million views, while the film's Facebook page has registered more than 200,000 likes.

"I was not surprised with the amount of views on social media, and I think most of the cast and crew would agree with me," Abdel-Aziz said. "We've had many obstacles along the way but we were able to overcome them to bring this film to the light," he continued referring to the political turmoil the country has witnessed for months.

The film tells the story of Yehia, "a psychotherapist at Al-Abbasiya Mental Hospital. He works in the department responsible for treating criminals, including homicidal ones. He finds his best friend among the patients, and when he tries to help him, he gets himself in serious trouble."
