A seminar titled 'Cinema and Censorship' will be held at the American University in Cairo on Saturday 20 September.
It is organised by the Arabic Culture Programme, which operates under the umbrella of the university's Islamic Civilisations Department, in cooperation with Bayard Dodge Foundation.
Speakers at the seminar will be Ali Abu Shadi, a cinema critic who has experience working at the censorship authority, alongside film critic Kamal Ramzy as well as Walid Saif, screenwriter, playwright and critic.
The lecture will be held in the Arabic language.
