Think: Film award winner Provenance by Amie Siegel is set to screen in Cairo's arthouse cinema Zawya on Friday 5 December following a screening on 1 December in Berlin.

Sponsored by the Allianz Cultural Foundation, the Think: Film award was presented at the Berlin International Film Festival as an award to honour a work that uses film to reflect on using geopolitical positioning to bring about a change in perspective.

Provenance (2013) follows the global trade of furniture built for the modernist city Chandigarh, designed by Le Corbusier and Pierre Jeanneret. The film chronicles the furniture's journey – in reversed order – from its restoration to its sale at auction.

Director Amie Siegel will be present for a Q&A session following the film's screening.

Programme:
Friday, 5 December, 6.30pm
Zawya Cinema
Odeon Cinema, 4 Abdel-Hamid Said Street, off Talaat Harb Street, Downtown, Cairo
