Cinema art house Zawya will hold two screenings of Hisham Zaman's Before Snowfall on Sunday 21 December.
The film chronicles the journey of Siyar, a village boy from Iraqi Kurdistan, as he sets out to restore his family's honour. The trip takes him through Greece, Germany and Norway as he searches for his sister, and his dignity.
The 2013 production stars Taher Abdullah Taher, Suzan Ilir, Bahar Özen, Nazmi Kirik, Birol Unel and Muafaq Rushdie.
Before Snowfall received the Best Cinematography & Narrative Feature prize from the Tribeca International Film Festival in 2013.
English subtitles will be available.
