World Revolution film series at Darb 1718

A ten-day revolution-themed film series will take place at Darb 1718, starting today 23 May, and finishing on 1 June


The series will screen international award-winning films that have made a strong impression around the globe. Each film focuses on a different humanitarian and political struggle that has taken place in various worlds of change.

24 May - Land and Freedom (1996), United States, Spain, Germany, Italy
25 May - Capitaes April (2000), Portugal, Spain, Italy, France
26 May - U.S. vs John Lennon (2006), United States
27 May - Danton (1983), France, Poland, West Germany
28 May - Comandante (2003), United States, Spain
29 May - The paper will be blue (2006), Romania
30 May - Persepolis (2007), France, United States
31 May - Michael Collins (1996), England, Ireland, United States
1 June - Z (1969), France, Algeria

Each screening will be accompanied with a document stating the country's historical backdrop and revolutionary phase, and its context in the film's plot.
