Egyptian TV and film actor Ibrahim Yousri dies on Monday

Egyptian actor Ibrahim Yousri died on Monday in Misr International Hospital in the Giza district, Cairo.

Yousri was 68.

According to Al-Ahram's Arabic news website, the actor had been admitted to intensive care a few days ago after suffering from a serious health crisis.

Yousri was known for several prominent appearances in TV series, with the most popular being: Layali El-Helmyia (from 1987 -1995), Al-Mal Wal Al-Banon (1993-1995), El-Gamaa (2010) and films such as Al-Irhaby (1993), Morgan Ahmed Morgan (2007) and Lahazat Anousa (2008).

The funeral is expected to be held on Tuesday, 21 April.
