Home was released in 2009 yet is more relevant than ever with global climate change demanding attention.

Directed by Yann Arthus-Bertand, the film presents aerial shots from around the world, exhibiting the diversity of life on earth and putting in perspective the interference of humanity and how certain practices of modernism disturb the balance of the ecosystem.

The screening was arranged by Cairo Climate Talks, having in mind the upcoming United Nations Conference of Climate Change to be held in December in Paris.

Home was released in six versions, narrated in six different languages, including the English narration by actress Glenn Close, and a Spanish narration by Salma Hayek. At Al-Azhar Park the film will be screened in Arabic and will be narrated by Mahmoud Said.

Cairo Climate Talks is a series of monthly events aimed at raising awareness concerning energy and environmental issues, as well as providing a platform for exchange between different parts of society, bridging policy makers and the civil society. CCT is run in cooperation between Egyptian and German institutions.
